Telegram from Russia

Paul Winter and members of the evolving Great Rift Valley Orchestra, of the Flyways project, presented a concert in Russia in November. This performance, held in Ekaterinburg in the Ural Mountains, linked the African members of the orchestra with the Bashkir flute player from the region where the migrating cranes nest. The group also recorded the Russia chapter of the 16-country Flyways musical odyssey.
